Biography

Lauren’s first job in the legal field was prosecuting misdemeanors in municipal court while she was in her second year of law school. By the time she graduated, Lauren had more trial experience than many lawyers accumulate in their entire careers. But for her, the takeaway from those early experiences was that good lawyers help their clients avoid trial altogether. Lauren excels in court, but rarely finds herself there, instead taking reasonable positions and working diligently to settle cases outside of the courtroom.

Lauren is an Adjunct Professor at the Willamette University College of Law where she teaches the Advanced Family Law course. Lauren is active in the state bar association, serving as previous member and Chair of the Oregon State Bar Family Law Executive Committee. Lauren is one of only 30 in Oregon and 1,600 lawyers throughout the United States to be named a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, which is an organization of practitioners in the field of family law generally recognized by judges and attorneys as preeminent family law practitioners with a high level of knowledge, skill and integrity.

Lauren has been selected annually to the Oregon Super Lawyers list since 2013.
